There are people who enjoy looking at data; data which tells a story. Regardless of how educators feel about data and utilizing data, it really comes with the territory. Teachers need to see the results of all kinds of data to help inform their instruction. In a post for the ISTE coaching standards (here), I discuss a great vocabulary tool for students and how there is great data provided to the teacher, but also for students as they set their own learning goals.
